Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Parque (“Parque,” “we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Parque website and mobile app (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Information you give us

When you create an account and use Parque, we collect:

• Account & profile: your name, email address, phone number, password, and any profile photo you upload.
• Listings (Hosts): the address, description, photos, price, availability, and approximate location of the space you list.
• Bookings (Renters): the vehicle details you provide (license plate, car model), the contact email/phone for the booking, and any notes.
• Messages: messages you send to other users through the Service.
• Support: information you provide when you contact us for help.

2. Location information

With your permission, the app uses your device's location to show parking near you and to power the “use my current location” search. You can decline or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings; the rest of the Service still works. Listing addresses are converted to map coordinates using OpenStreetMap.

3. Payment information

Payments and host payouts are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. Your full card number is entered directly with Stripe and is never stored on Parque's servers. We receive limited information such as the card brand and last four digits for your receipt, and Stripe processes payouts to Hosts who connect a bank account. Stripe's handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy.

4. Information collected automatically

Like most online services, we collect basic technical data needed to operate and secure the Service — for example, log data, device information, and general usage activity. We use this to keep the Service reliable and to prevent fraud and abuse.

5. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and listings.
• To process bookings, payments, refunds, and host payouts.
• To connect Hosts and Renters and enable messaging about a booking.
• To send transactional emails and notifications (confirmations, receipts, booking and cancellation updates).
• To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• To keep the Service safe, prevent fraud, and comply with the law.

6. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Service:

• Between users: when you book a spot, the Host and Renter see the booking details needed to complete it (such as the booking contact and vehicle information). Your profile name and photo are visible to people you interact with.
• Service providers: Stripe (payments & payouts), Supabase (secure database, login, and file storage), and Resend (transactional email). These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms.
• Legal: when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Parque, our users, or the public.

7. Data retention & deleting your account

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements.

You can delete your account at any time from within the app (More → account settings) or by emailing us at the address below. When you delete your account we remove your profile and personal information and deactivate your listings. We may retain a limited record of completed transactions where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encryption in transit and trusted infrastructure providers — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your data and limit access to it.

9. Your choices & rights

You can review and update your profile information in the app, control location permission in your device settings, and delete your account as described above. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information — contact us and we will honor applicable requests.

10. Children

Parque is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
